What is business mentoring?
Business mentoring is a relationship between an experienced businessperson (the mentor) and a fellow businessperson (mentee). The mentor works on a confidential, informal basis to provide guidance and support to their mentee about their business goals, needs, challenges, and opportunities.
Mentors are unique in that they seek to help their mentee develop their capacity to make decisions, rather than to make those decisions for them. You don’t need to have studied or trained to be a mentor – you just need to have the relevant experience in business.
Who is Mas Business Mentoring for?
Mas Business Mentoring is a program designed to match mentees with relevant volunteer mentors from across the country.
Whether you’re a businessperson at any stage of the business lifecycle or an employee looking for guidance, Mas Business Mentoring is inclusive of businesspeople of all backgrounds. Common mentee goals within our program include, but are not limited to:
Can I be a mentor?
Mas requires at least two years of experience from our mentors. That’s two years’ experience either running a business or providing business expertise. By ‘providing business expertise’, we mean working in specialised areas like management, human resources, finance, and IT.
You don’t need to be a trained expert to be a mentor – just someone who has walked the walk and has experience to share.
What is Mentorloop?
Mentorloop is an innovative cloud-based mentoring platform run straight from your internet browser. It enables users to sign-up, match with relevant mentoring partners based on their needs and background, and to collaborate through their platform. The platform provides a one-stop mentoring shop with tools such as goal-setting, group conversations, and a capacity to attach files and add events.
We’ve combined Mentorloop’s software with our history of delivering successful mentoring to create Mas Business Mentoring.
Is Mas Business Mentoring a paid service?
