Our Girls Can Trade Up Mentoring Program provides a network that supports you to grow your career in the direction that suits you. Participating in mentoring has been proven to increase career success as it provides you with encouragement, insight and knowledge. Sometimes it’s great to get an outside perspective to drive you forward and help you develop your confidence.
Best of all, our service is government funded meaning it’s at no cost to you!
Who is it for?
Women who are looking for a career in the trades, or who have already commenced their Apprenticeship in the trades.
What is the aim of the program?
To support women who are undertaking a non-traditional trade, and provide a network around them to create the best possible chance of success.
How does it work?
When you sign up to the Girls Can Trade Up Mentoring Program you will be paired with an experienced mentor who will provide once a month career check in designed support you in your role.
By joining our Girls Can Trade Up Mentoring Program you will have access to:
Register with our Girls Can Trade Up Mentorloop program. You will be able to widen your network, connect with a support system, share and gain new ideas. You can choose to have one-on-one mentoring or connect with like-minded people.
What you discuss is up to you. It might be that you are looking to connect with other Apprentices, or you might be looking for more of a business mentor. The aim of the platform is to allow you to find the support you need, and are here to guide you every step of the way.
Here you will be able to access a list of contacts for practical support. It’s a great way to connect with those people who have been there before you through organisations that are committed to changing the trades landscape.
