Mas appoints new Indigenous Engagement Officer
31 Jan, 2022
The Mas National Team has “kick-started” 2022 with a “BANG” – welcoming new people to the Group, and Bianca Templar is one of them. Bianca has joined the Mas family to become the new Indigenous Engagement Officer.
As a proud Palawa woman from Luturwita (Tasmania), Bianca was awarded the Youth of the Year Award at the 2020 Tasmanian NAIDOC Awards. In addition, she has also won the 2021 Tasmania’s Young Aboriginal Achiever Award.
Bianca has a wealth of knowledge in social work, specialising in mental health and youth work. She also owns the studio Takamuna Rrala Designs, which means stand strong in English. It was this environment where she thrived, working with visual arts and transforming her hobby of shelling into shell stringing. Bianca also enjoys spending time in the country and reading.
As part of the Mas National Group, Bianca has a special mission, to assist our team in developing the Cultural Awareness Training Program and rolling out our Reconciliation Action Plan.
We can’t wait to see these projects in action and what Bianca will bring to our team.
