The 2026 South Australian Training Awards brought together some of the state’s most inspiring apprentices, trainees, employers and training providers.

As principal sponsor, Mas National (Mas) proudly supported the awards program. The event celebrated excellence across vocational education and training. More importantly, it recognised the people and organisations building South Australia’s future workforce.

Recognising Outstanding Achievement

One of the highlights of the evening was the presentation of the Apprentice of the Year Award.

Mas National’s State Manager for South Australia, Kara Prichard, presented the award to Aya Pulle, who works with Mas’ client CACL. Aya’s achievement reflects the dedication and commitment that apprentices bring to their industries every day.

Furthermore, several other Mas clients earned well-deserved recognition throughout the evening.

Keeley O’Shaughnessy claimed the 2026 School-based Apprentice or Trainee of the Year Award while employed by BAE Systems Australia. In addition, BAE Systems Australia secured the Large Employer of the Year title, giving the organisation even more reason to celebrate.

Success Across Multiple Categories

Recognition extended across several categories.

Likewise, Longko Salon claimed the Small Employer of the Year Award. The business continues to create valuable career opportunities and support workforce development across South Australia.

Meanwhile, the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation (SA Branch) secured the Large Training Provider of the Year Award. The achievement highlights the organisation’s ongoing contribution to training and professional development.

In addition, the Mas team celebrated Elkira Simmons’ success as the 2026 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Student of the Year. Elkira works with valued Mas client Maxima Group and continues to inspire others through her achievements.

As a result, several Mas clients left the awards night with outstanding achievements to celebrate.
