Walk in my shoes

Enriching lives, growing communities
Our Mas Tasmanian team recently launched an exciting shadowing program, named “Walk in my Shoes”, to strengthen relationships across our businesses within the IntoWork Australia Group. It’s all about fostering a sense of community and seizing opportunities to learn from one another.
Our Business Consultant, Thomas Gamble, had the opportunity to “kick-start” the program by shadowing our colleagues from the Interact Disability Employment Services (DES) Team over two, four-hourly Sessions.
Hannah Webb, DES Performance & Partnership Leader at Interact, explained:
“The goal of this program was to broaden Tom’s understanding of what we do at Interact, and why. It’s an opportunity to gain both intellectual and hands-on experience on the ‘what’ and the ‘how” other businesses within the IntoWork Group deliver employment services, and cater to those who live with a disability.”
And Thomas did just that.
“This project gave me a deeper understanding into Interact’s services and their approach to engaging and supporting individuals with disabilities. From the initial consult to well after placement.”
Our Tasmanian team is following in Thomas’s footsteps and will be connecting with other IntoWork businesses in the months ahead.
